We are looking for a seasoned General Manager to lead our client’s European expansion. Reporting to the CEO, this position requires experience in business planning, operational strategy and execution. This position will be responsible for the P&L of all EU activities and will manage their new London office. This role requires a self-starter with good business sense, strong understanding of sales, marketing, strategy, and ethics; particularly in the tech world. You must thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere, and be comfortable reporting to our executive staff.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage EU sales and operations, deliver against key performance indicators and metrics
- Hold full P&L responsibility for our growing European business; lead team of EU based employees
- Define and develop operational plans to grow business in the EU
- Communicate with cross-functional team leaders regarding international results
- Manage the administration of our EU office, and day-to-day operational activities
- Build an EU operation that is efficient and effective in terms of cost and service
Experience and Skill required:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with and understand technology
- Experience with a US based company from an international perspective, proven track record of driving growth across multiple countries
- Ability to translate strategy into tactical operating plans
- Comfort with rapidly changing, fast moving organisations
- Experience hiring, leading and coaching a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A minimum of 7-10 years experience in business, prior start-up experience preferred
- BA/BS from a leading academic institution, MBA preferred
Ideally you will have a multilingual proficiency (English/1+ European language); verbal and written fluency.
